Do It Right: The key to effective training is knowing how to train properly. MWI classes are designed to facilitate, inform, and reinforce proper form and movement patterns for a wide range of activities.  Step by step, skill by skill, we lay a foundation of confidence and competence that will support a wide range of fitness goals.

Do it Safe: Functional fitness means being functional before and after the workout. Our goal is to exercise safely and effectively within our individual limitations; i.e. fitness level, injury, experience, etc..  While we always strive to do more and to do better, we never ask that you do an exercise or use equipment or weights for which you are not properly prepared.

Do It Again: In fitness, as in life, if you show up and do the work you WILL see the results. The key is finding the motivation to show up again. And again. And Again! Community is the answer to reinforcing personal commitment and accountability. MWI is not about judging or competing with one another. We are about informing and elevating our own fitness through a shared experience. We are here to help one another BE and DO better. CLASSES- Boxing- No shadow-boxing to hip-hop here! We hit the bags, hard. This is cardio conditioning at its finest. Three minute rounds, HIIT style intervals, and constantly refining our form and technique helps to develop speed, strength, and confidence. Plus, it's just plain fun! HIIT- High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) uses timed intervals of intense activity followed by short rests. HIIT's are designed to maximize aerobic and anaerobic fitness gains. MWI uses a variety of HIIT techniques. By varying the interval and exercise combinations from session to session, the routine is always fresh and challenging. This allows for continuos gains in strength and endurance.  Not to mention HIIT Training burns a whole lot of calories, very quickly. Look it up! Kettlebell Corp- MWI adheres to the Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) principles of kettlebell training. Emphasizing safety and proper technique, building fundamental lifting skills and promoting function over apearence. Kettlebells are one the most versatile and effective tools ever devised for developing core strength and mobility at the same time. Unfortunately, the recent surge in the kettlebell's popularity has spawned an epidemic of misinformation and poor technique.  MWI teaches RKC Hard Style Kettlebell training from the ground up, with basic skills and fundamental techniques that are necessary to use the Kettlebell safely and effectively. From the basics we build a ladder of success through more and more advanced skills. From the Dead-Lift to the Turkish Get-Up, we do it all, one step at a time. Olympic Lifting- Getting fitter isn't just about getting thinner. It's about being a more functional you, a stronger you. Olympic lifting trains both explosive and functional strength with just a few basic lifts; Squats, Dead-lifts, Rows, Cleans, and Presse are the bread and butter of the functionally strong.  Whether your a seasoned lifter or you've never lifted before, we'll take you back to the most fundamental and functional exercise there is, lifting. From there we'll build a foundation for speed, strength, and mobility.
